Spiritual Survival

"The one who stands firm to the end will be saved."

“Preppers” are those who assess the current circumstances; anticipate as best they can what challenges are to come and then make plans to navigate that future with specific goals in mind. Reaching the goal of “Spiritual Survival” means, you are right with God when this life ends, ready to enter eternity with Him as opposed to eternally separated from Him.

Jesus taught this goal of surviving spiritually would be very difficult to reach in the last days of this age, even for those who already belong to Him. While it is true that nothing can snatch us out of our Savior’s hand, the same freewill we used to accept Him can be used to separate us from Him. As unlikely as this may sound in your life, none of His church has yet experienced the challenges to our faith we are about to face. While the days ahead are described in Scripture to be very difficult, there are some things we can do to prepare.

Traditional prepping is done with the intention of being equipped with items that may be necessary to more comfortably survive what is believed to be coming physically. Prepping for spiritual survival, however, is about having the ability to respond to unexpected challenges to our thoughts, beliefs, and faith.

When something that challenges us comes unexpectedly, it does not usually come with the luxury of time for a well-thought-out response. Our emotional reaction would not likely be the same as our response. This guide is intended to assist those who desire to reasonably respond to things that will come against our faith, giving thought ahead of time to what may come and having what is needed in place to survive spiritually.

Acceptance that the Bible is the Word of God and the primary source of divine truth is assumed throughout. Biblical quotes are italicized.
